Job Summary
Lead Support Driver serves as the Area Manager’s primary operational partner and second-in-charge, providing day-to-day frontline support to CDL drivers, coordinating route coverage, training and retraining drivers, and managing service cases to ensure safety, customer satisfaction, and efficiency. Responsibilities include acting as the Area Manager’s #2, supporting daily operations, assisting with onboarding and field training for new drivers, optimizing routing with the Logistics Manager, ensuring compliance and productivity, investigating service failures, and maintaining clear communication between drivers, dispatch, and management. Preferred qualifications include an Associates degree or higher, valid driver’s license, 2-3 years of experience, and Class A CDL is a plus. The role involves frequent travel and a blend of office and field work in Goodyear, AZ with a hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or higher or demonstrated competency.
- Must have a valid driver’s license. 2-3 years of experience, preferred.
- Class A CDL is a plus.
- Truck dispatching experience, preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
