Job Summary
Conduct loading, hauling, and delivery of food waste on intra- and interstate routes with 15–25 daily stops. Operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles per DOT requirements while performing pre- and post-trip inspections. Utilize pressure washers to rinse bins, operate pallet jacks, and perform basic repairs using hand tools. Maintain truck equipment cleanliness and manage electronic logging systems and paperwork for contamination and service tickets. Report accidents and injuries immediately to the safety manager. This safety-sensitive role requires a Class A CDL, clean MVR, and ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL License (self-certified as a Non-Excepted Interstate driver with the state of issuance)
- Clean MVR and PSP
- Must be at least 23 years of age and have a minimum of 2 years of full-time verifiable tractor-trailer experience OR 21 years of age with 1 year of tractor-trailer experience IF a graduate from a Truck Driving School or 1 year of Military experience
- Stable work history
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must pass a pre-employment Background check
- All drivers must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
- Travel: Required
- Must be able to lift, pull, and/or push up to 70 pounds
- Must be able to regularly pull/roll up to 300 pounds when working with totes
- Must be able to handle unpleasant odors from food waste/farms
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- 5 Years Class A Driving Experience with no accidents or incidents
- Time management and ability to maintain route consistency
- Communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of hydraulics
