Job Summary
Lead Support Driver responsible for traveling regionally to cover route drivers during vacations or absences, with occasional out-of-region support. Responsibilities include loading, hauling, and delivering food waste on intra- and interstate routes (15-25 stops per day), operating manual/automatic transmission vehicles per DOT rules, using pallet jacks and a pressure washer, conducting pre-/post-trip inspections, basic truck equipment repairs, maintaining cleanliness, managing paperwork and DOT logs, and reporting accidents. Requires Class A CDL, clean MVR/PSP, a minimum age requirement, and the ability to communicate in English, with safety as a core focus. Travel is a key aspect of the role, and the position is full-time and salaried.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL license
- Minimum age 21-23 depending on program or school
- 2 years of full-time verifiable tractor-trailer experience OR 1 year with Truck Driving School diploma OR 1 year of Military experience
- Clean MVR and PSP
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
- Pass pre-employment background check
