Job Summary
Lead Driver role traveling regionally to cover route drivers during vacations/absences, with occasional out-of-region support. Responsibilities include loading/hauling/delivering food waste on intra- and interstate routes, operating manual/automatic transmissions per DOT, using pallet jacks, performing pre-/post-trip inspections, basic equipment maintenance, maintaining logs and paperwork, submitting documentation, and upholding safety standards. Requires Class A CDL, clean driving record, ability to meet physical requirements, and strong focus on safety; position is full-time and salaried with benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL License
- Clean MVR and PSP
- Minimum age 23 with 2 years of full-time tractor-trailer experience or 21 with 1 year plus Truck Driving School/Military experience
- Stable work history
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
- Pass pre-employment background check
- Must be able to read/speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand reports
