Job Summary
Deliver solo furniture loads to surrounding areas using a Class A tractor trailer with doubles endorsement, performing local home daily routes. Maintain accurate logs, detect safety hazards, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while loading or unloading freight as required. Drive a 36-month newer day cab with manual transmission, adhering to a Monday through Friday schedule with shifts ranging from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Pass a road test, drug test, and DOT physical, providing verifiable experience in a tractor trailer. Earn $0.678 per mile with $20 per stop, plus a $5,000 loyalty bonus over six months, while enjoying medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- Doubles experience and Endorsement
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years
- 2 years' experience within the last 5 years
- 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Must be able to drive a manual
