Job Summary
Supervise 4-8 guards on one site, ensuring compliance with company standards, post orders, and state security commission card requirements. Maintain contact with the Corporate Command Center throughout the shift, responding to critical incidents such as active shooters, fires, or severe weather. Review Traktik reports daily, conduct site inspections for equipment and post conditions, and ensure officer grooming and uniform standards. Assist with finding replacement officers for call-offs and cover the site as needed. Conduct training for officers and follow up with clients regarding attendance or misconduct.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years High Rise Security Experience
- Class A Office Building (Suit and Tie required)
- Valid state issued security commission card
- Non-commissioned Security Officer
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies and procedures and strategies to promote effective security operations for the protection of people, data, property and institutions
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of the content and structure of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar
- Knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations, agency rules, and company policies
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, such as word processing, managing files and records
- Ability to teach or instruct others on the job
- Visual acuity to observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources
- Reading comprehension to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
- Perform general physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and/or moving the entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, sitting or standing for long periods of time and handling of materials
- Active listening ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, and not interrupt at inappropriate times
- Manual dexterity to enter information into small hand held technology
- Social perceptiveness to be aware of others' reactions, understand why they react as they do, and personally react appropriately
- Interpersonal skills to develop constructive and cooperative relationships with others and maintain over time
- Speaking ability to talk to others to convey information effectively
- Writing ability to enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information effectively in written and electronic form
- Critical thinking and sound judgment to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions to problems and chose the correct approach
- Must be available for weekends
