Job Summary
R‐K‐Campf Transport is seeking experienced Class A CDL drivers for Local Flatbed, Regional Flatbed, and OTR Reefer lanes. The role offers late-model assigned equipment, 24/7 maintenance support, and options for home time whether you prefer to be home nightly or on extended trips. Local Flatbed routes cycle between Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and the Youngstown/Sharon area; Regional Flatbed runs cover Chicago, Indiana, Michigan with occasional trips to North Carolina and Arkansas; OTR Reefer provides longer Midwest and Eastern state freight with weekend home time. Compensation includes base pay as a percentage of line haul (24% training) with raises over time, multiple bonuses, weekly pay, medical and life insurance options, paid holidays and vacation, and retirement/coverage perks. Assigned trucks with no slip seating, strong home-time options, and a team-oriented environment are highlighted. Responsibilities include operating Class A tractor-trailers, cargo securement, tarping, chain/binding operations, and completing pre/post-trip inspections; maintaining ELog compliance and DOT 70-hour requirements; and accurate paperwork handling. Minimum qualifications emphasize age, CDL, driving experience, equipment familiarity, safety practices, and ability to work across diverse routes and conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 25
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean MVR (no more than 1 accident or minor infraction)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience; flatbed experience preferred
- Ability to operate and maintain ELog device and comply with DOT 70-hour service requirements
- Proficiency in cargo securement, tarping, and proper use of chains, binders, straps, and related equipment
- Ability to safely operate truck and trailer in all driving and weather conditions
- Ability to perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections daily
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 100 lbs and work at heights or in rough terrain
- Strong attention to paperwork accuracy, including Bills of Lading
