Job Summary
Class A Flatbed Truck Driver for Local, Regional, and OTR Reefer lanes. Roles include Local Flatbed (home every night/weekends with a triangle route Pittsburgh–Cleveland–Youngstown/Sharon), Regional Flatbed (home most weeknights/weekends with runs to Chicago, Indiana, Michigan, plus occasional NC/AR), and OTR Reefer (home most weekends, wide Midwest/Eastern routes). Compensation features starting pay at 25% of line haul (24% through training), with average annual earnings $60,000–$110,000, plus bonuses including $200 for clean roadside inspections, $2,000 driver referral bonus, and annual retention bonus. Benefits include paid major holidays, vacation time, medical insurance after 60 days, life insurance, disability via Aflac, and weekly pay. Assigned late-model equipment with 24/7 maintenance support; emphasis on a team environment and home-time options. Requires Class A CDL with clean MVR, 2 years driving experience (flatbed preferred), cargo securement, tarping, chains/binders/straps proficiency, ability to perform pre/post-trip inspections, lift up to 100 lbs, and compliance with DOT 70-hour rule.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 25
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean MVR (no more than 1 accident or minor infraction)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience; flatbed experience preferred
- Ability to operate and maintain ELog device and comply with DOT 70-hour service requirements
- Proficiency in cargo securement, tarping, and proper use of chains, binders, straps, and related equipment
- Ability to safely operate truck and trailer in all driving and weather conditions
- Ability to perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections daily
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 100 lbs and work at heights or in rough terrain
- Strong attention to paperwork accuracy, including Bills of Lading
