Job Summary
R-K-Campf Transport is hiring experienced Class A CDL drivers for Local Flatbed, Regional Flatbed, and OTR Reefer positions. The roles offer home-time options (local: home every night/weekends; regional: home most weeknights/weekends; OTR Reefer: home most weekends) with late-model assigned equipment and 24/7 maintenance support. Key duties include operating and maintaining flatbed/reefer equipment, cargo securement, tarping, securing loads with chains/binders/straps, completing pre- and post-trip inspections, adhering to DOT 70-hour rules, and accurate paperwork (Bills of Lading). Typical routes span Pittsburgh/Cleveland/Youngstown area, with regional runs to Chicago, Indiana, Michigan and occasional lanes to North Carolina and Arkansas. Compensation includes revenue-based pay (starting 25% of line haul, 24% during training), bonuses for clean inspections, referrals, and retention, plus benefits such as holidays, vacation, medical, life, and disability insurance, and weekly pay with assigned trucks. This is a mid-level driving role requiring Class A CDL, experience in flatbed operations, and strong operational and regulatory compliance skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 25
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean MVR (no more than 1 accident or minor infraction)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience; flatbed experience preferred
- Ability to operate and maintain ELog device and comply with DOT 70-hour service requirements
- Proficiency in cargo securement, tarping, and proper use of chains, binders, straps, and related equipment
- Ability to safely operate truck and trailer in all driving and weather conditions
- Ability to perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections daily
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 100 lbs and work at heights or in rough terrain
- Strong attention to paperwork accuracy, including Bills of Lading
