Job Summary
Class A Flatbed Truck Driver positions with R-K-Campf Transport include Local Flatbed, Regional Flatbed, and OTR Reefer lanes. Drivers can choose home-time preferences (home every night or most weekends) across routes serving Pittsburgh/Cleveland/Youngstown-SHaron, Chicago/Indiana/Michigan, and Midwest/Eastern states. Compensation includes starting pay as a percentage of line haul (24–25%), potential earnings $60,000–$110,000 annually, bonuses for clean roadside inspections and referrals, paid holidays, vacation time, medical and life insurance options, and weekly pay with assigned late-model equipment. Responsibilities include cargo securement, tarping, chaining/binders/straps, daily pre-/post-trip inspections, operating ELog devices, complying with DOT 70-hour rules, and safe operation across varying terrains and weather.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 25
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean MVR (no more than 1 accident or minor infraction)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience; flatbed experience preferred
- Ability to operate and maintain ELog device and comply with DOT 70-hour service requirements
- Proficiency in cargo securement, tarping, and proper use of chains, binders, straps, and related equipment
- Ability to safely operate truck and trailer in all driving and weather conditions
- Ability to perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections daily
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 100 lbs and work at heights or in rough terrain
- Strong attention to paperwork accuracy, including Bills of Lading
