Job Summary
Class A CDL truck driver roles across Local Flatbed, Regional Flatbed, and OTR Reefer with home-time options. Responsibilities include operating Class A equipment safely, securing cargo with tarps, chains, binders, and straps; performing pre- and post-trip inspections; adhering to DOT 70-hour rules and operating an ELog; maintaining accurate paperwork such as Bills of Lading; and participating in a team with late-model assigned equipment and 24/7 maintenance support. Compensation includes starting pay as a percentage of line haul (24-25%), with average annual earnings of $60,000–$110,000, plus bonuses and benefits. Locations include Kent, Ohio with routes in the Midwest/Eastern states and occasional runs to NC/AR; multiple lanes offer home-time options.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 25
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean MVR (no more than 1 accident or minor infraction)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience; flatbed experience preferred
- Ability to operate and maintain ELog device and comply with DOT 70-hour service requirements
- Proficiency in cargo securement, tarping, and proper use of chains, binders, straps, and related equipment
- Ability to safely operate truck and trailer in all driving and weather conditions
- Ability to perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections daily
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 100 lbs and work at heights or in rough terrain
- Strong attention to paperwork accuracy, including Bills of Lading
