Job Summary
Operate a tractor and trailer safely to load and deliver fuel products while securing equipment and adhering to hazardous materials regulations. Inspect the unit at pre-trip and post-trip using an ELD, obtain and submit all required paperwork including manifests and bills of lading, and monitor liquid levels. Report any malfunctions, unsafe situations, or spills immediately and follow company policies for spill prevention and mitigation. Maintain excellent customer relations and manage time efficiently during night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
- Valid DOT physical
- Procure a TWIC card
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Knowledge of Dispatch and Electronic Logging Software
- One to two years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
