Job Summary
Conduct daily hauling of dry van freight on regional lanes east of I-35 while adhering to federal transport safety mandates. Manage electronic logging devices and hours-of-service regulations, perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and verify equipment safety at shift start and end. Maintain regular contact with the dispatch office and submit accurate logs and condition reports. Complete a 4-to-6-week mentorship phase focusing on safe tractor-trailer operation before transitioning to solo driving. Return home every two weeks for scheduled rest.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and active Class A commercial driver's license
- Minimum age of 21 years old
- Certificate showing 120+ hours from an accredited trucking school
- Clean motor vehicle record with no major violations
- Ability to pass the required DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
