Job Summary
Operate commercial tractor-trailers on regional dry van routes east of I-35, hauling freight while maintaining compliance with federal transport safety mandates. Perform daily walk-around vehicle inspections, manage electronic logging devices, and verify equipment safety before and after each shift. Work under a mentor for four to six weeks to master safe operation and communication protocols before transitioning to solo driving. Return home every two weeks for scheduled rest days. Requires a valid Class A CDL, 120+ hours of accredited training, and a clean motor vehicle record.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and active Class A commercial driver's license
- Minimum age of 21 years old
- Certificate showing 120+ hours from an accredited trucking school
- Clean motor vehicle record with no major violations
- Ability to pass the required DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
