Job Summary
Drive a commercial vehicle safely between customer locations to deliver and pick up general freight, loading and unloading trailers with assistance as needed. Inspect the vehicle for defects and secure freight using strapping or other methods. Comply with all Federal and State regulations regarding hazardous materials and hours of service while maintaining required driver logs. Perform frequent lifting and pushing of freight up to 100 pounds, including climbing, squatting, and balancing during loading and unloading. Maintain records for compliance and speak with coworkers and customers to perform essential functions. Work Monday through Friday starting at 10:00 AM with a starting pay of $33.94 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum age of 23
- A minimum of 1 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Must pass a road test administered by a Dohrn Transfer Driver Trainer
- Must possess, or obtain within the required time period, and maintain Hazardous Material and Tanker endorsements on their current valid driver's license issued by the resident state in which they reside
- Must have and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and functional screen
- Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen
- Must have the ability to read and write the English language and also perform simple mathematical calculations
