Job Summary
Operate commercial vehicles to pick up and transport goods to designated locations safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations. Inspect loads, equipment, and supplies such as tires and brakes before and during transit, ensuring cargo is secured and placarding meets requirements. Maintain paperwork including expense reports, timesheets, and manifests, and operate loading devices like pallet jacks and forklifts to load and unload freight. Notify managers of any maintenance or delivery issues and ensure health and safety is the top priority by complying with all safe work practices. Available Monday to Saturday from 7:45am to 3:15pm, with weekend and holiday work as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Class A Driver License without restrictions and limitations, including a current DOT Medical cert
- Ability to pass a road test (manual trucks)
- At least 1 year satisfactory driving record as obtained from the California Department of Motor Vehicles
- 1-2 years of driver experience in warehouse/ logistics/ shipping
- Must possess the ability to read, understand and communicate verbally in English
- Available to work on weekends, holidays or rotating schedules
- Must pass a pre-hire background check and DOT drug test
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions
- Must be able to work in an environment that may have exposure to heat, noise, and other environmental factors
- Must be able to work Monday to Saturday, 7:45am to 3:15pm
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in handling product barcodes preferred
- Experience in hauling reefer trailers is preferred
- Experience in pallet jack and forklift is preferred
- Experience backing 48' to 53' trailers (including in tight spaces and to dock doors)
- Bilingual English/Mandarin or English/ Spanish preferred
