Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor on USPS/dedicated routes with home-daily schedules. Maintain on-time performance by following prescribed routes, safety protocols, and USPS/DOT rules. Communicate with Dispatch and the Post Office about delays, complete accurate delivery records, and perform pre/post-trip inspections. Handle rolling mail containers (APCs/BMCs) and adhere to safety policies; ensure proper loading/unloading procedures. Routes include USPS (Thu–Sun, Mon–Fri), and a dedicated local shuttle with year-round stability and growth opportunities. This role emphasizes consistent schedules, professional representation at USPS facilities, and adherence to route commitments while delivering reliable service on multiple local routes.
Required Qualifications
- CDL Class A
- Minimum 2 years of recent driving experience
- Clean MVR PSP
- Ability to pass DOT requirements
- Ability to pass USPS Postal Background
- Strong communication customer service skills
- Ability to use mobile devices and accurately report accessorial charges
