Job Summary
Dedicated USPS local routes in Indianapolis area requiring a Class A CDL. Home daily with four dedicated routes and potential additional local work. Responsibilities include running scheduled shifts on time, safely operating a Class A tractor, handling rolling mail containers, completing delivery records, performing pre/post-trip inspections, and following USPS/DOT safety policies. Must adhere to USPS procedures, maintain professional conduct, and communicate any delays or issues to Dispatch and the Post Office. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, and cash in lieu of benefits on USPS routes.
Required Qualifications
- CDL Class A license (Class A CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of recent driving experience
- Clean MVR PSP
- Ability to pass DOT requirements
- Ability to pass USPS Postal Background check
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to use mobile devices and accurately report accessorial charges
- Follow DOT, USPS, and company safety policies
- Safely operate Class A tractor on assigned routes
- Complete accurate delivery records and communicate updates promptly
- Pre/post-trip inspections
- USPS routes knowledge and compliance
