Job Summary
Class A CDL Truck Driver for dedicated USPS routes based in the Indianapolis area. Home daily with four USPS-dedicated routes (Thursday–Sunday, Monday–Friday, USPS Mail + South Bend shuttle, and local power-only shuttle). Responsibilities include safely operating a Class A tractor on assigned routes, adhering to schedules, handling rolling mail containers (APCs/BMCs) with proper straps, completing accurate delivery records, performing pre/post-trip inspections, and following DOT/USPS safety policies. Requires CDL Class A, minimum 2 years of driving experience, clean MVR/PSP, ability to pass DOT and USPS background checks, and strong customer-service communication skills. Opportunities for additional local freight on off days and cash in lieu of benefits on USPS routes; base pay comprises hourly USPS rates (~$28.27/hr) with home-daily schedules. Required Qualifications
- CDL Class A
- Minimum 2 years of recent driving experience
- Clean MVR PSP
- Ability to pass DOT requirements
- Ability to pass USPS Postal Background (USPS routes)
