Job Summary
Dedicated USPS local routes with a Class A CDL requiring 2+ years of driving experience, clean MVR/PSP, and DOT/USPS background checks. Home daily with predictable schedules across four USPS-focused routes. Responsibilities include safely operating a Class A tractor on assigned routes, maintaining on-time delivery, handling rolling mail containers, performing pre/post-trip inspections, accurately reporting accessorial charges, and communicating delays or issues to Dispatch and USPS personnel. Required Qualifications
- CDL Class A
- Minimum 2 years of recent driving experience
- Clean MVR PSP
- Ability to pass DOT requirements
- Ability to pass USPS Postal Background (USPS routes)
- Strong communication customer service skills
- Ability to use mobile devices and accurately report accessorial charges
- Safely operate Class A tractor on assigned routes
- Run assigned schedules on time, every shift
- Handle rolling mail containers (APCs/BMCs); strap when required
- Complete accurate delivery records communicate updates promptly
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections
- Follow DOT, USPS, and company safety policies
- Communicate immediately with Dispatch and the Post Office on any delay or issue
