Job Summary
Class A CDL Truck Driver for dedicated USPS routes based in Indianapolis area. Four dedicated USPS routes available with home daily schedules: Thursday–Sunday USPS route (early morning hours), Monday–Friday USPS afternoon route, USPS mail shuttle between routes with specified early-morning hours, and a local power-only shuttle with year-round, guaranteed base pay. Responsibilities include safely operating a Class A tractor on assigned routes, adhering to schedules, handling rolling mail containers, performing pre/post-trip inspections, following USPS, DOT, and company safety policies, and communicating any delays or issues to Dispatch and Post Office. Candidates must meet USPS and DOT requirements, have strong customer service and communication skills, and maintain professional representation of RTS at USPS facilities.
Required Qualifications
- CDL Class A
- Minimum 2 years of recent driving experience
- Clean MVR PSP
- Ability to pass DOT requirements
- Ability to pass USPS Postal Background
- Strong communication customer service skills
- Ability to use mobile devices and accurately report accessorial charges
