Job Summary
Transport loaded trailers between Ascentek and supplier facilities, moving units in and out of dock doors while monitoring inventory and tracking DOT dates. Reposition trailers within the parking lot and operate a forklift for loading and unloading materials. Rotate weekly between shuttle driving duties from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and yard jockey shifts from 4:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Utilize paper logbooks to comply with DOT hours of service regulations and maintain current driver's license endorsements. Perform material handler functions including lifting up to 60 pounds occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Possess a current DOT Medical certification card
- Meets all D.O.T. qualifications in accordance with the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations, Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations
- Carry hazmat endorsement
- Must be able to effectively communicate to maintain positive relations with team members
- Capable of standing, walking, and repeatedly climbing into and out of truck tractor or forklift several times throughout the day
- Ability to lift 50lbs periodically
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 60 pounds occasionally
- No more than 3 moving violations in the last 36 months or 2 in the last 12 months
- No DWI or DUI in the past 5 years
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer 2 years driving experience within the last 5 years and excellent customer service skills
- Prior forklift experience
