Job Summary
Pickup and deliver trucks to customers, drive company vehicles on Transwest property, and perform minor detail work while maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Greet customers, answer service calls, and report mechanical issues by inspecting vehicles before and after use. Safely select routes, practice safe driving, and complete records including driver logs and authorizations. Adhere to DOT regulations and road test vehicles for technicians when needed. Operate equipment such as a forklift or manual pallet jack. Requires a valid Class A CDL, high school diploma, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs in all-weather conditions. Hourly pay of $26.00 - $28.00.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid class A Commercial Driver's License
- MVR in good standing
- Professional and courteous demeanor
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment
- Pass post-offer background check
- Pass physical
- Pass drug screening
- Ability to perform work inside and outside, in all-weather situations
- Ability to sit, stand, balance, bend or stoop for prolonged periods
- Ability to work in areas which are not ventilated or air-conditioned
- Eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery
- Full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to climb in and out of vehicles
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally
- Normal range of hearing and vision
- Required manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for data input
- Ability to operate equipment such as a forklift or manual pallet jack in a safe manner at all times
