Job Summary
Transport and deliver freight over distances in a safe, efficient, timely, and legal manner while operating a semi and trailer. Responsibilities include hooking and unhooking trailers, inspecting vehicles for defects, and maintaining logs as per FMCSA requirements. Candidates must possess a Class A CDL, valid medical card, and must comply with drug and alcohol testing standards. The role demands physical capability for lifting, standing, and bending, alongside effective communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must have Class A CDL and valid medical card
- MVR must pass insurance requirements
- Will be required to participate in WFR’s drug and alcohol testing program
- Must have a cell phone with internet capability
- Ability to drive in a safe manner
- Ability to follow all laws and regulations
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk and be on feet
- Ability to bend, reach, squat & kneel
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Capable of doing repeated actions
- Effectively communicate with team members
