Job Summary
Operate a Class A commercial vehicle over long distances hauling refrigerated freight across regional lanes, avoiding the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, and West Coast. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate logs, and comply with all DOT regulations. Communicate with dispatch regarding loads, delays, and route updates while adhering to company policies and safety standards. Manage time effectively during extended trips averaging four weeks on the road and coordinate with terminals for drop-offs and home time transitions. Earn $1,400–$1,900 weekly with all runs paid as a percentage of load.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A
- Minimum 2 years of Class A Driving experience
- No more than 1 moving violation within the past year or 2 moving violations within the past 3 years
- No more than 1 accident within the past year or 2 accidents within the past 3 years
- No DUI/DWI/OWI within the past 7 years
