Job Summary
Operate a company-owned Class A CDL truck on OTR routes from the Venice, FL terminal, hauling 53' dry vans or refrigerated trailers. Manage daily logistics including fuel card usage, cash advances, and per-diem tax benefits while adhering to Federal and Florida DOT/HOS rules. Maintain a clean safety record with no DOT preventable accidents, major violations, or DUIs in the specified timeframes. Submit detailed pay reports upon round-trip completion and coordinate with friendly dispatchers for flexible home time and vacation. Speak English and possess at least two years of experience pulling dry or refrigerated trailers.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- Current DOT Physical
- No DOT record/preventable accidents in the past 12 months
- No major violation in the past 36 months, this includes reckless driving or careless endangerment
- No more than 3 minor violations during the last 3 years, with no more than 2 violations in the same 12-month span
- No DUI in the past 60 months
- Overall safe driving record
- Must have a TWIC card or obtain it within 30 days of employment
- No positive drug/alcohol tests
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Experience pulling a 53' dry van or refrigerated trailer
- Must speak English
- Knowledgeable of Federal and Florida DOT and HOS rules
