Job Summary
Conduct local intermodal freight operations moving containers between rail ramps and customer locations using drop-and-hook and preloaded freight. Manage approximately 3–8 loads per day across live load and live unload scenarios, covering roughly 1,000 miles weekly. Operate bare chassis at the rail ramp without driver-assist unloading while adhering to a night-shift schedule with daily home time. Work weekends and holidays as needed, aiming for 60–70 working hours per week. Earn $15.00 hourly plus $12.50 per stop and approximately $24.50 per load.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a valid Class A CDL
- Have at least 6 months of recent, verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience
- Have a Hazmat endorsement
- Be comfortable operating intermodal containers and chassis
- Be able to work the required night and weekend schedule
- Meet all applicable DOT qualification requirements
- Be authorized to work in the United States
