Job Summary
Operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs, at customer sites while performing driving and non-driving duties associated with hazardous waste clean-up. Load and unload trucks, assist field laborers, and perform manual labor on site to ensure customer needs are met. Comply with all safe work practices, DOT, local, state, and federal regulations, and maintain daily logs, time sheets, and reports. Properly placard vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements. This role requires a Monday through Friday schedule with an average 8-10+ hour day, including overtime after 40 hours. Candidates must be available for emergency response, occasional project work in evenings and weekends, and up to 50% overnight travel. New hires attend a two-week Academy training out of state, with expenses covered by the company.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
- Ability to use various mobile devices
- Perform physical functions per job requirements
- Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
- Must have Real I.D. or Passport
- Must be available for emergency response and occasional project work (evenings & weekends)
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for overtime after 40 hrs
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission
- Must be able to operate a variety of Class A trucks
- Must be able to load and unload trucks
- Must be able to perform manual labor on site
- Must be able to properly placard vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulations
- Must be able to maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports
- Must be able to follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
- Must be able to safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
- Must be able to safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
- Must be able to observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
- Must be able to be on call for emergency response on rotating basis every other week
- Must be able to handle site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials
- Must be able to comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes
- Must be able to act in a safe manner
- Must be able to assist field laborers when needed
- Must be able to attend our two-week Academy training out of state
- Must be able to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
