Job Summary
Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles, including tankers and vacuum trucks, transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials to disposal or recycling facilities. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate digital logs, and complete all required manifest paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to ensure timely delivery, while assisting with loading, unloading, and securing loads. Participate in ongoing training programs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment when handling hazardous chemicals. This role requires a valid Class A CDL with a tanker endorsement, the ability to work flexible hours including overtime, and must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- 1-3 years tanker/vacuum truck driving experience
- Active Tanker endorsement
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have a reliable form of transportation
- Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week
- Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
- Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles
- Previous experience in environmental services or related field
- Active Hazmat endorsement
