Job Summary
Inspect your truck before and after trips, complete daily vehicle inspection reports, and maintain a clean, well-kept vehicle. Work with customers to verify deliveries match ship tickets, handle touch-freight deliveries using a manual pallet jack, and collect payments following instructions on tickets. Keep accurate driver logs in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while safely operating the vehicle per DOT guidelines and company policies. Maintain a current Class A CDL and clean driving record. Schedule includes Monday through Friday with early-morning starts, 1-2 overnight stays weekly, and overtime after 40 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL Operator's License
- At least 3 years of driving experience
- Ability to meet DOT requirements, including pre-employment and random drug testing
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check
- Current valid Federal Medical Card
- Understanding of common road hazards and ability to follow best safety practices
- Previous experience making deliveries
- Natural problem-solving ability
- Ability to provide excellent customer experiences
- Availability for Monday – Friday schedule
- Availability for early-morning start times
- Ability to handle 1-2 overnight stays per week
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle following DOT guidelines, company safety manuals, and policies
- Ability to keep a CDL current and driving record clean per DOT and company standards
