Job Summary
Operate manual and automatic transmission tanker trailers by performing pre- and post-trip inspections, utilizing electronic logging systems, and maintaining accurate paperwork. Execute loading and unloading procedures while communicating with dispatch, customers, and vendors to ensure seamless operations. Report accidents immediately, attend weekly safety briefings, and perform basic equipment maintenance using hand tools. Work flexible hours up to 60 hours weekly or 70 hours in 8 days, adhering to DOT requirements and local laws.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class CDL-A in state of residence with a TANKER endorsement
- Time Management and ability to maintain route consistency
- Communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in operating Manual and Automatic Transmission vehicles
- Experience using an Electronic Logging System, such as People Net
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
- Age 21 and over
- 1-year tractor-trailer experience
- Must have a current DOT medical card
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Must have Clean MVR
- Must pass the road test
- Live in a defined hiring area and be willing to park at the approved parking area
- No DUI or DWI conviction in a commercial motor vehicle or personal vehicle in the last three (3) years
- Class A CDL License (self-certified as a Non-Excepted Interstate driver with the state of issuance)
- Clean MVR and PSP
- Must be at least 23 years of age and have a minimum of 2 years of full-time verifiable tractor-trailer experience OR 21 years of age with 1 year of tractor-trailer experience IF a graduate from a Truck Driving School or 1 year of Military experience
- Stable work history
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Sitting, Climbing, Balancing, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Feeling, lifting to 50 lbs., Talking, Hearing, and Seeing
- The employee is subject to confined spaces
- The employee is subject to outside environmental conditions: No effective protection from weather
- The employee is subject to atmospheric conditions
- The employee is subject to hazards, Including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles
Desired Qualifications
