Job Summary
Deliver and transport box trailers, dump trailers, equipment, and materials to and from job sites while turning dump trailers at local landfills as needed. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, safely secure loads in compliance with DOT regulations, and troubleshoot minor mechanical or operational issues with trucks, trailers, and equipment. Coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure timely support, maintain cleanliness of vehicles and equipment, and assist with loading, unloading, and general operational tasks. Adapt to changing schedules and priorities throughout the workday while working outdoors in varying weather conditions. This role is not driving only and involves many physical tasks essential to the driver position.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Ability to lift, load, and move materials as required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating equipment such as skid steers or similar machinery
- Experience hauling dump trailers or construction-related equipment
- Familiarity with landfill operations and trailer turnaround procedures
- Restoration, construction, or demolition industry experience
- Skid steer or heavy equipment operating experience
