Job Summary
Drive flatbed trucks and curtain-side trailers to deliver roofing, insulation, and building products locally to customers, ensuring loads match shipping documents and are secured for DOT compliance. Operate semi-trucks according to state and federal transportation laws while performing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain safety and regulatory standards. Assist with loading and unloading goods using specialized equipment, communicate delivery issues immediately to the branch, and maintain accurate electronic logbooks and trip reports. Maintain a courteous professional attitude with customers and adhere to all safety procedures to prevent injury.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Must meet all DOT qualification standards, including drug screening and Med Card
- Must have an acceptable driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Minimum of 3 years of similar driving experience within the last 5 years
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Employment is contingent upon passing a DOT drug and alcohol test, motor vehicle record check, and criminal background screening consistent with applicable law and company policy
