Job Summary
Drive flatbed trucks and curtain-side trailers to deliver roofing, insulation, gypsum, and siding products to customers on local routes. Operate semi-trucks and non-CDL vehicles according to state and federal transportation laws while safely maneuvering loads into loading and unloading areas. Assist with loading and unloading goods using specialized equipment, secure materials with straps and covers, and ensure proper weight distribution for DOT compliance. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain electronic logbooks and trip reports, and submit signed invoices and shipping bills of lading. Communicate any delivery problems immediately to the branch and interact with customers in a courteous manner. Work daily home time with a competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Must meet all DOT qualification standards, including drug screening and Med Card
- Must have an acceptable driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Minimum of 3 years of similar driving experience within the last 5 years
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Employment is contingent upon passing a DOT drug and alcohol test, motor vehicle record check, and criminal background screening consistent with applicable law and company policy
