Job Summary
Drive flatbed trucks and curtain-side trailers to deliver roofing, insulation, and building products locally, transporting loads safely and in a timely manner while obeying all traffic laws. Deftly maneuver vehicles into loading and unloading areas, assist with loading and unloading goods using specialized equipment, and ensure cargo is properly secured and weight-distributed for DOT compliance. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain signed invoices and electronic logbooks, and communicate any delivery problems to the branch immediately. Interact with customers courteously and professionally throughout the route.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Must meet all DOT qualification standards, including drug screening and Med Card
- Must have an acceptable driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Minimum of 3 years of similar driving experience within the last 5 years
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Employment is contingent upon passing a DOT drug and alcohol test, motor vehicle record check, and criminal background screening consistent with applicable law and company policy
