Job Summary
Deliver building materials safely and efficiently to customer job sites while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies. Sort, stock, and move lumber in varying weather conditions, then load supplies and maneuver trucks into loading positions using hydraulic lift gates. Operate a Moffett forklift and boom truck to place roofing, wall panels, and trusses, and conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety. Report all injuries, accidents, and safety concerns immediately, and perform basic vehicle maintenance including fluid checks. This role requires a valid CDL, DOT medical certificate, and experience with building materials equipment. Hourly rate is $25.00 - $30.00.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
- Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Fed Med Card)
- Previous CDL driving experience, preferably within the building materials, construction, or lumber industry
- Experience operating a Moffett forklift required or willingness to obtain certification
- Ability to read product labels, safety warnings, shipping documents, invoices, and work schedules
- Ability to complete inventory and loading documentation accurately
- Strong understanding of load securement and safe material handling practices
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment and in varying weather conditions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift, carry, and move building materials as required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating a boom truck preferred
