Job Summary
Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from construction job sites while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load and secure cargo, and coordinate with dispatch and project teams to ensure timely deliveries. Accurately complete required logs, mileage reports, and fuel records while demonstrating a proactive safety mindset and adapting to changing project demands.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with a safe driving record
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle inspection requirements, and transportation safety standards
- Experience operating tractor-trailers, including manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with field teams, dispatch personnel, and project stakeholders
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, project demands, and delivery priorities
- Valid medical examiner's certificate
Desired Qualifications
- Construction industry transportation experience preferred
