Job Summary
Experienced Class A CDL Dump Truck Driver / Equipment Operator needed for a Civil-Site & Utilities Contractor in Central and Southwest Virginia. Responsibilities include running, loading, and transferring heavy equipment; driving dump trucks to destination; performing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintaining vehicle condition and cleanliness per the Truck Driver's Handbook; complying with all trucking regulations; Virginia residency; drug testing; weekend availability; and willingness to work in a setting that values leadership, hands-on work, and teamwork. Previous dump truck experience is required and candidate should be motivated, with a strong work ethic and readiness to get hands dirty to complete tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Previous dump truck experience required
- Must be available to work Saturdays
- Must pass drug test/screening
- Must be a Virginia resident
- Must be able to perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicle
- Must be able to comply with truck maintenance and cleanliness per Truck Driver's Handbook
- Must drive dump truck to destination and have knowledge of commercial driving regulations
- Must be able to run, load, and transfer heavy equipment
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and show leadership
- Familiarity with local roads preferred
- Must be able to perform other job-related duties as assigned
