Job Summary
Class A CDL Driver responsible for transporting and delivering building materials to customers, distribution centers and construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. Performs loading/unloading (hand, forklift or overhead crane), reconciles material requirements with shipping lists, verifies receipts with customer signatures, conducts daily pre/post-trip inspections, and adheres to DOT and company policies while driving. Demonstrates safe driving, operates a piggy-back trailer-mounted forklift (training available), provides courteous customer service, and supports inventory and housekeeping duties. Requires frequent lifting of heavy products, ability to work in varying temperatures, and eligibility to drive interstate. Minimum age 21; full-time day shift with benefits. Location: Temple, TX; local duties may include travel to customer sites and distribution centers.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- 2 years of tractor-trailer flatbed driving experience including winter driving experience
- Interstate driving capability
- Valid Medical Card
- DOT pre-employment drug screen
- DOT physical
- Ability to lift 60+ pounds
- Ability to pass insurability requirements
- Strong customer service skills
