Job Summary
Class A CDL Driver responsible for transporting and delivering building materials to dealers, distribution centers and job sites using a tractor-trailer; duties include pre/post-trip inspections, DOT compliance, load/unload with tarp systems, operating a trailer-mounted forklift, and providing customer service; requires valid Class A CDL, 2 years driving experience, clean driving record, ability to tarp loads, lift up to 50 lbs, and work independently or in a team; located in Rome, NY; full-time day shift with potential weekend work and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- 2 years commercial truck driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems and strap flatbed loads
- Operate trailer mounted forklift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis
- OTR experience a plus
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
- Must pass pre & post-trip inspections and follow DOT guidelines
