Job Summary
Operate and safely drive assigned delivery vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight over 26,000 lbs., pulling towed vehicles exceeding 10,000 lbs. within a 150-mile radius. Ensure contents are properly secured, handle and unload goods at destinations, and obtain signatures to confirm deliveries. Perform pre and post trip inspections, maintain and service vehicles as needed, and notify managers of any major issues. Maintain detailed electronic driving and delivery logs while demonstrating compliance with DOT safe practices. Must hold a valid Class A driver's license with one year of tractor-trailer experience and a clean driving record.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid Class A driver's license
- 1+ years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving
- Clean driving record with no moving violations
- Must pass a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug test
- Must be physically capable of performing all duties relating to the position, including lifting up to 75 lbs., and the ability to bend, climb, stoop, and sit
- Able to operate GPS, an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
- Disciplined, dependable, and flexible
- Customer service skills and ability to represent the company in a positive manner
