Job Summary
Deliver and pick up trench-related shoring to and from customer job sites multiple loads per day using a truck-mounted crane. Operate company vehicles safely in difficult locations, heavy traffic, or inclement weather while securing loads strictly complying with DOT and company policies. Perform vehicle inspections at the beginning and end of each shift, maintain accurate electronic driver HOS logs, and keep current driver and crane credentials. Adhere to all safety policies, including pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing, and report accidents or equipment damage to branch management. Occasionally load, unload, and assemble shoring on job sites, assist with yard operations, and provide training assistance regarding safe equipment operations. Maintain open communication with the branch for delivery schedules and promptly report problems. Be available for occasional after-hours emergencies and ensure all delivery documents are properly maintained.
Required Qualifications
- Current Class A Commercial Driver's License issued from the State Department of Motor Vehicles
- Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with FMCSR 49 CFR 391.41-391.49
- A minimum of (2) two years of direct experience driving vehicles that require a Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Crane Certification from NCCCO - National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators
- Ability to obtain forklift certification as required
- Must be available to customers' needs, including occasional after-hours emergencies, as needed by the branch from time to time
- A positive attitude and occasionally requires lifting up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of (2) two years of direct experience driving vehicles that require a Class A Commercial Driver's License is preferred
- Crane Certification from NCCCO - National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators preferred
