Job Summary
Transport building materials and equipment to commercial and residential construction sites, conducting pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections per DOT and company requirements. Operate Class A or Class B commercial vehicles, Moffett truck-mounted forklifts, SkyTrak telehandlers, and flatbed trucks while loading, unloading, and securing loads with straps, chains, and binders. Verify load accuracy, obtain customer signatures, and communicate delivery status and route delays with dispatch and branch personnel. Assess jobsite conditions to identify safety hazards, coordinate with site supervisors and contractors for accurate material placement, and assist with touch-fight responsibilities as needed. Maintain a clean driving record, participate in safety meetings, and adhere to all PPE and site-specific safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL (Class B may be considered depending on business needs)
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements
- Experience operating flatbed trucks and securing loads
- Ability to lift, carry, and move building materials weighing up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
