Job Summary
Combination Driver/Dockworker role at Old Dominion involves loading/unloading freight with forklift or manually, securing cargo for trailers, and delivering freight between service centers and customer locations. Responsibilities include using loading techniques to load/unload freight, reading shipping labels, documenting shipping forms, operating a Dock Yard Management System, and ensuring safety and quality during loading, unloading, and transport. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with double/triple trailers, tanker, and hazardous material endorsements
- Must have 12 months previous tractor-trailer driving experience and/or be a graduate of a State Certified, Licensed and Safety Department approved driving school
- Must be able to read, write, speak English
- Must satisfactorily pass a drug test and meet DOT medical standards
- Must be at least 22 years of age
