Job Summary
Operate a commercial garbage truck on assigned routes to collect solid waste and recyclables, handling materials both mechanically and manually. Transport waste to designated disposal facilities while conducting routine vehicle inspections and reporting maintenance needs. Provide courteous service to customers and respond professionally to service issues or concerns. Follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards, including frequent industrial lifting and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Communicate regularly with dispatch and supervisors. Maintain a valid Class A or B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement and a clean driving record. Competitive hourly pay of $24–$26/hr with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating a Class A or Class B vehicle with air brakes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- High commitment to working safely and following procedures
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Class A or B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
Desired Qualifications
- Solid Waste industry experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of DOT rules and safety practices is a plus
