Job Summary
Conduct morning truck checks, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and deliver products to airports and other pickup/drop-off locations. Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently and safely, while preparing boxes and materials for shipping orders. Pack lobster required for shipping and assist the inside team by working inside the lobster room to prepare shipments. Operate pallet jacks or forklifts if certified or trained, and follow all safety and handling procedures. Maintain a clean driving record with a Class 5 license and a truck capable of carrying 8-10 pallets. Full-time position requiring 38–45 hours weekly with a salary of $19.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Class 5 License
- Clean driving record
- Previous experience in local delivery
- Strong knowledge of local routes
- Strong attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Physically fit
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
- A strong understanding of the Halifax regional Municipality geography
