Job Summary
Operate the blower truck to load, transport, and blow mulch, bark, topsoil, and compost onto job sites with precision. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck and blower system, report issues immediately, and manage hose layouts for safe positioning. Work closely with customers on-site to explain the process and ensure satisfaction, while assisting with loading, spreading, and cleanup tasks. Complete required paperwork accurately and conduct minor maintenance on the blower system as needed. Collaborate with crew leads, sometimes leading small crews, and follow all safety protocols and traffic laws. Maintain a clean truck and worksite while reading site plans and understanding basic landscaping practices. Full-time day shift in Burnaby, BC; $33–$38/hr plus profit sharing. Valid Class 3 licence with air brake endorsement required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 3 Driver's Licence with a clean abstract
- Air brake endorsement
- Comfortable driving larger trucks
- Physically fit and not afraid to get dirty
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional early starts or longer days during peak season
Desired Qualifications
- Manual transmission experience
- Experience operating blower trucks, hydroseeders, or similar equipment
- Strong customer service skills
- Able to read site plans/layouts and understand basic landscaping/erosion-control practices
