Job Summary
Interpret isometric and engineering drawings to manufacture fabricated components, including flare tips, power burners, skids, and pressure vessel fabrications. Prepare materials for welding through cutting, sawing, drilling, grinding, pipe bending, and threading operations. Support and perform Class 1 / ISO 3834 fabrication and welding activities, producing welded joints in accordance with ASME IX and ISO 15614 standards. Plan fabrication sequences to maintain workflow and achieve delivery schedules while collaborating across disciplines to ensure on-time project completion.
Required Qualifications
- Class 1 skilled welder / fabricator / plater
- Proven fabrication and plating experience within Oil & Gas, Pressure Vessel, Pipefitting, Heavy Engineering, or similar industries
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
- Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and high nickel alloys
- Knowledge of fabrication and welding preparation processes
- Understanding of welding standards and procedures, including WPS documentation
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science (Grades A-C / 4-9)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Must live within commutable distance to the office
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift Truck Licence
- Previous experience working within ISO 3834-certified fabrication environments
- Knowledge of pressure vessel and process burner fabrication
