Job Summary
Drive Class 1 tractor trailers to deliver and pick up perishable products across various locations, ensuring timely distribution of temperature-controlled goods. Perform daily pre-trip inspections, load and unload freight safely, and communicate with dispatch regarding pickups, deliveries, or inquiries. Operate onboard telematic devices for electronic logging and maintain compliance with hours of service regulations and all applicable jurisdictional rules. Complete required paperwork, attend safety meetings, and report maintenance needs to the shop. Work Monday through Friday starting at 2:30 AM, with home daily shifts and potential bid run assignments based on seniority.
Required Qualifications
- Valid AZ/Class 1 license
- Minimum 1 year verifiable driving experience on AZ/Class 1 license
- Meet the licensing requirements for the specific job opening
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and health survey
- CVOR, Driver abstract and a copy of a drivers license
- Employment reference check
- Criminal record check
- Required to wear PPE (provided by The Erb Group)
- Some slip seating
- May be required to be gone overnight on occasion
- Will be required to operate DZ units
