Class 1 Gravel Truck Driver

Job Summary
Haul top soil and gravel to various work sites in Edmonton and surrounding areas using safe driving practices. Follow assigned routes and schedules for efficient deliveries while maintaining accurate logs of materials and deliveries via the Nektar app. Perform daily vehicle safety inspections, pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip checks, and operate equipment safely with the ability to self-load. Adhere to all traffic regulations, company policies, and industry procedures, ensuring proper load securing and effective communication with team members and clients. This seasonal position runs Monday through Saturday, offering competitive wages with overtime pay.
Required Qualifications
- Class 1 driver's license
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Experience driving a Gravel Truck or tandem
- Knowledge of industry regulations and procedures related to driving and equipment operation
- Safety-oriented mindset with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine equipment maintenance
- Tech savvy, comfortable using an iPhone or android (app) Nektar
- Local to the Edmonton and area
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of truck routes and City of Edmonton
- Ability to self load with a loader an asset
- Experience Loading and Hauling Equipment is an asset
